State of Emergency - Texas - February 20, 2023

A State of Emergency (SoE) has been declared for Texas due to Winter Storm Olive.

A State of Emergency has been declared in the state of Texas due to the impact of Winter Storm Olive. Because of this, we are allowing pharmacies to override the Refill-Too-Soon (RTS) edit at the point of sale to make sure members do not experience any issues in receiving their medication(s). This temporary override applies to both pharmacies and members located in the affected state and will be in place for 15 days. Please contact your Account Manager if you have any questions.

NEXT STEPS:

If you have already opted in to the State of Emergency Protocol, no further action is needed.

If you would like to opt in to the standard State of Emergency Protocol or to implement the pharmacy override for this specific declaration, contact your Account Manager.

MEDICARE CLIENTS: Contact your Account Manager if you want to allow the temporary override of your plan’s Refill-Too-Soon edit or if there are other edits you wish to override. We will provide a benefit change form for you to review, sign and return.
