# State of Emergency - South Dakota - June 30, 2026

### A State of Emergency (SoE) has been declared for South Dakota due to severe weather.    

A State of Emergency has been declared in South Dakota due to severe weather. Because of this, we are allowing pharmacies to override the Refill-Too-Soon (RTS) edit at the point of sale to make sure members do not experience any issues in receiving their medication(s). This temporary override applies to both pharmacies and members located in the affected state and will be in place through July 14th, 2026. Please contact your Account Manager if you have any questions.

NEXT STEPS:

If you have already opted in to the State of Emergency Protocol, no further action is needed.  

If you would like to opt in to the standard State of Emergency Protocol or to implement the pharmacy override for this specific declaration, contact your Account Manager.
